Question: In order for there to be a change in the ways society views beauty in today’s generation, what must happen regarding the media?
Thesis: If girls are constantly given a false perception on how they should appear to others, they may be more prone to make unhealthy decisions regarding their health by going on harmful diets or developing eating disorders.
Research Proposal: I propose that the media's images that it displays to teenage girls are affecting them negatively. Specifically by looking into the Victoria's Secret Company one can see how girls can be affected emotionally, as well as physically by the images that they take in everyday. This can cause serious issues to occur and lead one to ask what must change in our society's media in order for it to be less detrimental to younger girls.
